The Physical Collection
Behind the Cine Pen Archive is a growing collection of film-industry writing instruments, thoughtfully kept as both a record of the work behind the camera and a collection to live with.
A rotating selection of favorites is presented on a dedicated wall display at Duclos Lenses, while the wider collection is carefully maintained in archival wooden chests.
The Display
A changing selection
The wall-mounted display accommodates approximately 65 pens at a time. It is intentionally not a fixed checklist: the selection changes as the archive grows, making room for longtime favorites, notable additions, and the occasional rediscovery.
It offers a more immediate way to appreciate the collection—where brand marks, materials, and the small details of each object can be seen together at a glance.
The Archive
Carefully kept, always growing
Beyond the display, the remainder of the collection is housed in wooden chests. This keeps the larger archive organized and protected while allowing the physical collection to continue growing alongside its digital record.
The online archive remains the best way to explore individual pens and the stories around them; the physical collection is its quiet counterpart, preserving the objects themselves.
