Based on the classic Messmer Art 5500 fountain pen, this entry features a brass matte silver plated finish on the cap, grip, and butt. The main body of the pen has a series of linear ribs that run the length of the body. The clip is affixed to the removable cap and is finished in a polished silver as well as the finial of the cap. The Carl Zeiss name is laser etched into one side of the cap and Camera Lenses is engraved on the opposite side of the cap. According to the contributor, Michael Bravin, this pen was a gift from Helmut Lenhof, Christian Bannert, and Winfried Scherle to commemorate the successful shipment of the first Zeiss DigiPrime.
